APRILIA RSV4 Factory APRC Carbon Special Edition (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2012, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC Carbon Special Edition, a special edition machine based on the 2012 RSV4 Factory APRC. The bike was dressed in full carbon fiber bodywork, as its name suggests.

In addition to the carbon fiber fairing, the bike also received Aprilia DPM clutch and brake levers, Aprilia rear Tail Tidy, fully adjustable racing billeted aluminum rear sets, racing insignia pick-up knobs, and insignia handlebar weights.

Also, the bike featured a lightweight lithium-ion hi-performance battery, racing tinted windscreen, carbon fiber engine case covers, exhaust hangers, and heel guards. It also packed an Akrapovic exhaust muffler.

It was built around a twin-spar aluminum frame with a 43 mm upside-down adjustable Ohlins fork with 120 mm of travel guiding the front wheel and an adjustable Ohlins monoshock with a dual-sided aluminum swingarm with 130 mm of travel controlling the rear wheel.

In the braking department, the bike packed two 320 mm floating stainless steel discs engaged by four-piston calipers on the front and a 220 mm brake disc with a dual-piston floating Brembo caliper on the rear.

In the performance department, the 2012 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC Carbon Special Edition had installed a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-4 engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering an output power of 180 hp at 12,500 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 10,000 rpm.
