In 2009, the Italian bike maker Aprilia launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory, a sports motorcycle in its sixth year of production that packed the same technical and performance specifications as previous models, except for color and graphic alterations.

The R Factory model was a high-specification version of the standard model that debuted in 2004 as a replacement model for the Aprilia RSV Mille. It was manufactured until 2010, when it was succeeded by the Aprilia RSV4.

Compared to the base model, the RSV 1000 R Factory model packed race-grade fully adjustable Ohlins suspensions, an adjustable Ohlins steering damper, blue anodized forged aluminum wheels, carbon fiber elements, and a black or gold-finished frame.

It had factory-installed standard features, such as full fairing with dual headlights and a medium-sized windscreen, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with an up-swept silencer on each side, a ten-spoke rear wheel, a 12-spoke front wheel.

The front end was guided by a 43 mm fully adjustable Ohlins fork with 120 mm of travel on the front and a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock with 130 mm of travel on the rear, providing excellent handling capabilities.

As for the power figures, the 2009 Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory had its heartbeat set by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin powerhouse that delivered an output power of 139 poneys with a peak force at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
