The Aprilia RSV Mille was a sports motorcycle made by Aprilia in 1998 and produced until 2003. The bike was offered in three versions: the standard RSV Mille, higher-sped RSV Miller R, and limited-run RSV Mille SP.
In 1999, the bike maker introduced the Aprilia RSV Mille R, a higher specifications version of the base model. It was fitted with Ohlins suspensions, an Ohlins steering damper, a shorter frame that offered a single seat, forged aluminum wheels, and a carbon fiber front fender.
In 2003, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia RSV Mille R, the higher-spec range version that featured high-end race-derived standard features. The bike was for sale in 2003 at an MSRP of $31,500.
Aesthetically, the bike had standard features, such as a full fairing, a medium-sized windscreen, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right side, and five-spoke forged aluminum wheels.
Compared to the base model, the R version was fitted with race-grade suspensions, like a 43 mm upside-down Ohlins telescopic fork with 120 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable Ohlins shock absorber with 133 mm wheel travel on the rear.
In the performance department, the 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R took its power from a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine, boasting 139 hp at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
