APRILIA RSV Mille R (2002-2003) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RSV Mille was a race-oriented motorcycle that debuted in 1998 and was produced until 2003, when it was replaced by the Aprilia RSV1000R. It was made in three versions: the standard RSV Mille, high-spec RSV Mille R, and limited edition RSV Mille SP.

In 2002, the Italian maker launched the Aprilia RSV Mille R, a sports motorcycle in its fourth year of production. The bike packed the same visual, technical, and performance specifications as previous models without any significant modifications.

The motorcycle packed the same standard features as the previous model, like a full fairing with a medium-sized windscreen, a single seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with an up-swept silencer mounted on the right side, and 12-spoke forged aluminum wheels.

Compared to the standard model, the R version was lighter and featured higher specifications, such as an Ohlins suspension system, an Ohlins steering damper, a carbon fiber front fender, forged aluminum wheels, and a shorter subframe that provided only one seat.

As for power, the 2002 Aprilia RSV Mille R took its muscles from a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine installed at its core and ran by a fuel injection system. As for the power figures, the engine developed 139 hp at 9,500 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
