APRILIA RSV Mille (2001-2002) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RSV Mille was a race-oriented sports motorcycle that debuted in 1998 and continued production until 2003, when it was replaced by the Aprilia RSV1000R. It was available in three versions: the standard RSV Mille, high-spec RSV Mille R, and limited edition RSV Mille SP.

The bike packed a 998cc 60-degree V-twin engine made by the Austrian company Rotax and was Aprilia's first large-displacement motorcycle. The same engine was unmodified on the Tuono model and slightly modified on the SL1000 Falco.

In 2001, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV Mille, a sports machine in its fourth year of production. The 2001 model was revised, bringing some style and technical modifications.

The 2001 model came with a restyled fairing that featured wind deflectors to improve airflow, a smaller-capacity plastic fuel tank, and a revised rear shock absorber on both standard and R models.

As for the power figures, the 2001 Aprilia RSV Mille had installed a 998cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine mounted underneath its fuel tank, boasting 130 hp with a peak force at 9,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 7,250 rpm.

For stopping power, the bike's wheels were equipped with two 320 mm discs coupled to four-piston calipers and a 220 mm disc tied to a two-piston caliper, offering excellent braking performance.
