APRILIA MX 125 (2006-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia MX was a motorcycle with visual similarities to enduro bikes but with wheels and a braking system adapted for road use. The MX series was made from 2004 until 2006 when it was replaced by the Aprilia SX 50 in 2006 and SX 125 in 2007.

The range comprised the Aprilia MX 50 moped and the larger Aprilia MX 125. The MX 125 was made from 2004 to 2006 and was based on the Aprilia RX 125, manufactured between 1983 and 2002.

In 2006, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia MX 125, a road motorcycle in its third and last year of production. The bike remained unchanged over its production period, delivering the same specifications as previous models.

The bike had standard features, such as a small cowl with a square headlight, a one-piece dual seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, a dual-sided swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels.

It was built around a steel frame with a 40 mm inverted telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, offering optimum suspension performance and handling.

The braking power was achieved by a 320 mm disc mounted on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc mounted on the rear wheel. The front was handled by a dual-piston caliper, and the rear by a single-piston caliper.

Power-wise, the 2006 Aprilia MX 125 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 33 hp and 23 Nm (17 lb-ft) torque.
