APRILIA MX 125 (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2005, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia MX 125, a small displacement motorcycle in its second year of production, packing the exact technical, visual, and performance specifications as the first model without changes.

The Aprilia MX was a motorcycle part of the motard category, featuring visual similarities to enduro bikes but with wheels and a braking system adapted for road use. The MX series was manufactured from 2004 until 2006 when it was replaced by the Aprilia SX 50 in 2006 and SX 125 in 2007.

Along with the Aprilia MX 125 was the smaller MX 50 moped. The MX 125 was made between 2004 and 2006 and was based on the Aprilia RX 125, produced between 1983 and 2002.

In addition, the MX 125 model retained almost everything from the RX 125 but came with smaller wheels, smooth road tires, and an improved braking system.

Visually, the bike packed standard features like a high-mounted front fender, a small cowl with a square headlight, a one-piece dual seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, a dual-sided swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels.

In the performance department, the 2005 Aprilia MX 125 took its muscles from a 124cc two-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 33 hp and 23 Nm (17 lb-ft) torque.
