APRILIA ETV 1000 Caponord (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

The first Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord was seen in 2001 when the maker released it. It was manufactured until 2003 as part of the first series and was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.

The second series was manufactured since 2004, and compared to the first series, it featured several aesthetic, technical, and mechanical modifications that enhanced its overall capabilities.

In 2009, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an adventure motorcycle in its sixth year of production that featured the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as previous models.

In the visual department, the bike remained unchanged, packing the same standard features, such as a half fairing, a large headlight, a windscreen, a wide handlebar with hand guards, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, and wire-spoke wheels.

In the performance department, the 2009 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had installed a 998cc four-stroke Liquid-cooled V-twin fuel-injected powerhouse at its core that delivered an output power of 98 hp with a peak force at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.

The bike's power was kept on the safe side by two 300mm brake discs with four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 270 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel. The stopping power was handled by an Anti-Lock Braking System that could have been turned off by a button on the instrument cluster.
