APRILIA ETV 1000 Caponord (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2005, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an adventure motorcycle part of the second series. Compared to the models from the first series, the 2005 machine packed visual, technical, and mechanical modifications.

The 2005 motorcycle came with the same package as the previous model, delivering the exact technical, visual, and performance specifications without any significant modifications.

As for the standard features, the motorcycle packed a half fairing with a large headlight unit, a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels.

The 2005 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 98 hp with a peak force at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.

The bike's engine was tied to a six-speed manual gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch, linked to the rear wheel via a final chain drive, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 214 kph (133 mph).

For suspension, the bike packed a 50 mm Marzocchi fork with 175 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable Sachs shock absorber with 185 mm travel on the rear, providing optimum suspension performance and handling capabilities.

As for the braking power, the bike's wheels were fitted with two 300 mm brake discs with two-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 270 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper mounted on the rear wheel.
