APRILIA Dorsoduro 750 (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Dorsoduro was a series of V-twin-engined motorcycles part of the supermotard class manufactured by Aprilia since 2008. The series comprised three models: the standard 750cc model, the later 1200cc version, and the final 900cc model.

The first one in the series was the Dorsoduro 750, which was presented at the 2007 EICMA Show in Milan as the SMV 750 Dorsoduro. It was based on the Shiver 750, sharing the same engine and frame but had a different suspension tuning. It was released into the market in 2008.

In 2012, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, a naked motorcycle in its fifth consecutive year of production, packing the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the previous model.

The motorcycle rolled out the factory doors on 12-spoke front and 10-spoke rear alloy wheels and was fitted with standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, an off-set rear shock absorber, and a dual exhaust system with two mufflers mounted under the seat.

Brembo was in charge of the braking department with two 320 mm stainless steel floating wave discs on the front and a 240 mm stainless steel wave disc on the rear. The front wheel was controlled by four-piston calipers and the rear one by a single-piston caliper.

As for the power figures, the 2012 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 boasted 92 hp at 8,750 rpm and 81 Nm (60 lb-ft) torque at 4,500 rpm, coming from a 749cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine fed by a fuel injection system.
