APRILIA Classic 125 (1998-1999) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Red Rose and Aprilia Classic125 were two motorcycles made by Aprilia between 1988 and 2002. The Aprilia Red Rose was the first model in the series, released in 1988, while the Aprilia Classic was in the second series made in 1992.

The Aprilia Red Rose was presented in November 1987 at the Milan Show and released in 1988 in 50cc and 125cc versions. Besides the two displacement engines, the bikes also differed in colors. As for power, the Red Rose was equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled Rotax engine for both displacements.

In 1991, at the EICMA Show, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer presented the Aprilia Classic 125, the second series model with a lower and more modern package and a very low tapered-style exhaust system, just like the ones on Harley-Davidson models.

In 1995, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Classic 125, a classic American-style motorcycle that fitted the taste of novice riders who wanted a fuel-efficient traditional American machine.

The bike was built around a double open cradle frame with a 33-degree rake telescopic fork on the front that offered 120 mm wheel travel and two hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear with 70 mm of travel.

As for the power figures, the 1995 Aprilia Classic 125 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 15 hp at 6,600 rpm and 14 Nm (10 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
