APRILIA ETV 1000 Caponord Rally Raid (2003-2004) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia ETV Caponord was an enduro motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia between 2001 and 2017. In addition, the bike was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.

In 2003, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord Rally Raid, an all-rounder machine that became even more unstoppable, combining the concepts of a tourer, enduro, and off-road motorcycle.

The motorcycle had standard features, such as a half fairing with a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, side-mounted rugged aluminum panniers, a center stand, and wire-spoke wheels.

It was built around a twin-beam box-type aluminum-magnesium frame with a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork with 175 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable Sachs shock absorber with 185 mm of travel on the rear.

Braking-wise, the motorcycle rolled on a 19-inch front wheel fitted with two 300 mm brake discs squeezed by dual-piston calipers. In contrast, the 17-inch rear wheel was fitted with a 270 mm disc and a two-piston caliper.

As for power, the 2003 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord Rally Raid was driven by a 998cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine with 98 hp on tap at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
