APRILIA Atlantic 400 Sprint (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

In January 2007, the Italian motorcycle maker introduced the Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint. It packed the same chassis as the 500 Sprint model and was powered by the 399cc Piaggio engine handled by an electronic power supply.

In 2009, Aprilia released the Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint, a scooter in its third consecutive production year, packing the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as previous ones without any modifications.

The scooter's visual department was characterized by standard fittings, such as a body covered with fairings, a tall windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a luggage rack, a storage department underneath the seat, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

It was made around a double-cradle high-strength tubular steel frame with a 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork on the front with 105 mm of travel and two gas-charged five-position spring preload-adjustable shocks on the rear with 90 mm of travel.

The braking performance was achieved by a 260 mm brake disc mounted on the front wheel and a 190 mm brake disc mounted on the rear wheel, offering optimum stopping power.

In the performance department, the 2009 Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint had installed a 399cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine underneath its fairings that delivered an output power of 34 hp at 7,500 rpm and 37 Nm (27 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
