APRILIA Atlantic 400 Sprint (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2008, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint, a scooter that debuted in 2007. It shared the same chassis as the Atlantic 500 Sprint and was powered by a 399cc Piaggio engine handled by an electronic power supply.

The 2008 model came in the same shape and form as the previous one, delivering the same technical, visual, and performance specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.

The scooter was manufactured around a double-cradle high-strength tubular steel frame with a 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork on the front with 105 mm of travel and two gas-charged five-position spring preload-adjustable shocks on the rear with 90 mm of travel.

The braking power was achieved by a 260 mm brake disc mounted on the front wheel and a 190 mm brake disc mounted on the rear wheel. Both were assisted by hydraulic calipers offering optimum stopping power.

The scooter's visual department was characterized by standard fittings, like a body covered with fairings, a tall windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a luggage rack, a storage department underneath the seat, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

As for the power figures, the 2008 Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint had installed a 399cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in front of the rear wheel, delivering an output power of 34 hp at 7,500 rpm and 37 Nm (27 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
