APRILIA Atlantic 200 (2003-2004) Specs, Performance & Photos

Born simultaneously with the Atlantic 125, the Atlantic 200 was a slightly larger displacement scooter that featured the same dimensions as the smaller one but had a shorter production period, until 2004.

The Aprilia Atlantic was a mid-to-high-end low-wheel scooter produced by Aprilia from late 2001 and continued production until 2014. Some similar models from other manufacturers included the Yamaha XMAX, Suzuki Burgman, Piaggio X9, and Piaggio X10.

Compared to the Altlantic 500 model, the Atlantic 200 had several visual differences, like the design of the front and rear lights, 13-inch wheels, and a single brake disc on the front and one at the rear. In addition, it was smaller in size and cheaper.

The scooter's visual department was characterized by standard fittings, such as a dual headlight system, a large windscreen for better protection against elements, a one-piece dual seat, a luggage rack, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke aluminum wheels.

A 35 mm telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock on the rear handled the scooter's riding experience, and a 240 mm brake rotor with a three-piston caliper on the front wheel and a 190 mm brake disc with a dual-piston caliper mounted on the rear achieved the stopping power.

As for power, the 2003 Aprilia Atlantic 200 was set in motion by a 198cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine with a Keihin carburetor in charge, delivering an output power of 13 hp at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) torque at 7,250 rpm.
