APRILIA 1200 Dorsoduro (2011-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia Dorsoduro was a V-twin range of motorcycles part of the supermotard class. The range comprised three models with different engine displacements and similar appearances: the 750cc made from 2008 to 2015, the 1200cc produced from 2011 until the present, and the 900cc model manufactured from 2017 until the present.

In 2011, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia 1200 Dorsoduro, the second model in the range. It was introduced in 2010 and shared several parts with the smaller 750 model.

Aesthetically, the 1200 model was slightly different, featuring extra heat shields under the seat covering the rear subframe, and like the 750 version, it didn't feature traction control or ABS in the North American Market.

In the visual department, the 1200 Dorsoduro model had standard features, like a single headlight unit, a high-mounted front fender, hand guards, a one-piece dual seat, an off-set horizontally-mounted shock absorber on the rear, and 10-spoke alloy wheels.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a fully adjustable Sachs inverted fork with 160 mm of travel guiding the front wheel and a piggy-back fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber with 155 mm of travel on the rear.

In the performance department, the 2011 Aprilia 1200 Dorsoduro had installed a 1,197cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine at its core, boasting 130 hp at 8,700 rpm and 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque at 7,200 rpm.
