AMG's first ever hot hatch hasn't yet stopped raising eye brows and dropping jaws wherever it's being tested. Until we have a go in one, here comes another Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG review, only this time it's from the land down under.
Sporting a turbocharged four-pot with only two liters of displacement, the (somewhat) little hot hatch is the current record holder for having the most powerful four cylinder engine in the world when it comes to series production cars.
No less than 360 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque are squeezed from the direct injected M113 engine, which - helped by a seven speed dual clutch transmission with seven forward gears and an AMG-tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive system - can make the A 45 AMG go from 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds.
It seems that the above figure - and not only – were enough to impress the Motoring Australia testers, but we better leave them explain it better in the following video review.
