S-Class Coupe C217 Confirmed to Look Almost Like Concept

As we were expecting ever since we first saw the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupe at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production version of the car will look almost identical.

The confirmation comes from Mercedes-Benz designer Jan Kaul, who penned the interior for the concept car and recently had a chat with the Brits from Autocar.

According to him, the production version of the S-Class Coupe will be around 30 mm higher and 20mm narrower, while the engine grille will sit a bit higher and have a “less of a shark nose” than the Concept S-Class Coupe.

The biggest differences from the concept will obviously reside in the interior though, where the Apple-inspired white ceramic vents will be replaced with “regular” metal, like in the S-Class W222. The four clocks indicating time in different cities around the world will also be gone in the production car.

On the plus side, most of the interior switch gear and almost 100 per cent of all interior and exterior lines from the concept car will be found in the production version.
