The 65 AMG halo version of the W222 S-Class is coming and nothing can stop it. The engine and the basic specs of the car haven't been yet confirmed, but we do know that there is still a monstrous twin-turbo V12 under the hood.
Recent reports have asserted that the new S65 AMG will have 630 hp, while its torque will still be electronically limited to 1000 Nm (737.6 lb ft). Just like the G 65 AMG, the new flagship AMG version of the S-Class will switch to an upgraded version of the 7 G-Tronic, finally ditching the very old 5 G-Tronic.

There is some speculation about the model maybe switching the old 6.0-liter M275 engine for one based on a completely new V12 that will also have a less-hardcore version for the S600, but the chances are slim.

All the upgrades in the world - except maybe a 4Matic version and a massive reduction in weight – can't help the car's poor tires during a more serious ride on the track, though.

The following video is a testament of the extreme horrors a tire must pass through when fitted to the upcoming S65 AMG. As you can notice, most of the noise in the footage is coming from the poor front and rear tires while the lightly camouflaged car is tearing them up on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
