Mercedes AMG Closing in on Ferrari at Korean Grand Prix

Mercedes AMG Petronas has closed the gap on Scuderia Ferrari to only one point in the 2013 Formula One championship, after Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg scored 16 points between them.
The British driver finished the race in fifth position (10 points), 25.2 seconds behind the winner, while the German took the checkered flag in seventh place (6 points), 26.6 seconds slower than pack leader Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull Renault).

Following Sunday’s results, Mercedes AMG Petronas kept its third position in the Constructors’ Championship, but closed the gap on Ferrari to only one point (283 vs. 284). Season leaders Red Bull Renault already have 402 points after 14 races.

In the Drivers’ Championship, Lewis Hamilton ranks fourth with 161 points, while Nico Rosberg is sixth with 122 points. The next 2013 Formula One Grand Prix is scheduled on October 13, in Japan.
