Apparently, this is not the Pullman version of the W222 S-Class, as we and other automotive sites have lied to you in the past couple of months.
Recent reports suggest that the XL-sized Mercedes-Benz S-Class depicted in the following photo gallery will actually be slotted bellow the future Pullman variant, which, believe it or not, will have an even longer wheelbase and no less than four rear seats facing each other.

All the information we have given you until now about the “white elephant” that's dancing on the Nordschleife below still stands, though, as this is the model that will replace the room left by the Maybach 57 and the 62.

We are talking about a supersized S-Class which will offer more room for the rear passengers, while the comfort levels we'll best even those on the top of the range “regular” W222 S-Class.

With a price range that will be in the $200,000-$250,000 ballpark, its main competitors from this point of view will be the Rolls Royce Ghost and the Bentley Flying Spur. Its interior amenities will make it compete with the two's bigger brothers though, the Phantom and the Mulsanne. Stay tuned for more info as the model readies for its 2014 launch.
