The Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG W222 is currently the fastest non-tuned S-Class in history. Sporting the latest evolution of the M157 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, it develops no less than 585 hp and a tire-torturing 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque.
In its 4Matic version, which will be the standard on the US-bound variant of the model, the S 63 AMG can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just four seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to either 250 km/h (155 mph) or 300 km/h (186 mph), depending on how deep are the owner's pockets when ordering the car from Mercedes-Benz.
The model has recently had its media launch somewhere in Austria, and a number of automotive publications have already starting dishing out written reviews about it, while others are uploading whatever footage they could take from the test drives.
The video below comes courtesy of the Germans from Ausfahrt.tv, and it shows a 4Matic model's speedometer go from naught to 176 km/h (109 mph) in the same time as an average European compact can reach just 100 km/h (62 mph).
