Lincoln introduced a facelifted version for its mid-sized SUV lineup, the Corsair, and offered similar amenities as in its bigger sibling, the Navigator.

Based on the same platform as the Ford Kuga, the 2023 Corsair came on the market in late 2022 with essential updates on most aspects. Moreover, it started to show that finally, the American brand found an intelligent direction for the Corsair.

With similar external dimensions, albeit a little longer, the 2023 Corsair sported a new front fascia that received a broader grille adorned with a 3D pattern. In addition, a keen eye for details could've spotted the small Lincoln badge shapes on that grille. The new LED headlights incorporated the Lincoln name inside them, and lower on the bumper, the carmaker placed the blinkers. From its profile, depending on the options, the carmaker added many piano-black finishes on the door mirrors, pillars, and even wheels.

Inside, the carmaker introduced a new set of seats that provided a more comfortable ride for passengers. Atop the center stack, Lincoln placed a 13.2" touch-screen display for the infotainment system that featured wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Above the passengers, a panoramic glass roof was available as an option, and it could've been opened to allow more fresh air into the cabin.

Under the hood, Lincoln followed the downsizing trend dropping the former 2.3-liter turbocharged powerplant with a smaller, 2.0-liter unit that was also turbocharged. Like its non-facelifted version, though, the 2023 Corsair was available with either a front- or an all-wheel drive system.

Lincoln also made a decisive move towards the electrification of its range when it launched the Corsair back in 2019 and strengthened its position furthermore when it unveiled the facelifted version in late 2022.

While the regular Corsair was offered as a gasoline-only affair, the GT version was a more evolved PHEV deal that made it more appealing to its customers. In addition, this version received specific upgrades and features that were not available for the regular Corsair.

When the carmaker upgraded the mid-size SUV, it considered that the PHEV version should sport different details. Thus, the Corsair name that appeared on the vehicle was blue instead of plain chromed ones like on the regular version. Moreover, the front fascia also featured a blue-shaded Lincoln badge on the broad grille. In addition, the GT was available with unique-looking 20" two-tone light-alloy wheels.

Lincoln also provided more safety features fitted as standard, such as the lane-keep assist and the automatic lane change when the driver activates the turn signals.

Under the hood, the facelifted version of the 2023 Corsair GT carried over the same 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle powerplant from its predecessor. Unlike the regular Corsair, this one was exclusively available with an all-wheel drive system.

The Lincoln brand had reinvented itself and started to close the gap into the German premium car manufacturers, and the 2019 Corsair was a good example of a compact premium SUV.

The 2019 Lincoln Corsair was based on the Ford Escape/Kuga platform, but apart from some technical details, it had nothing in common with it. The look and the features offered by Lincoln were modern and premium.

The headlights had a beautiful design, well integrated into the overall shape of the car. It wasn't the same old Lincoln style seen on the Lincoln MKC which was replaced by Corsair. The whole new lineup resembles names from the aviation industry. After names such as Navigator or Aviator, the Corsair resembled the Vaught F4U Corsair fighter plane from WWII and the Korean War. The badge "Corsair" was installed on the side of the compact Lincoln SUV. In the rear, when lit, the taillights are forming an LED line that resembled a wing.

Inside the cabin, the Corsair was luxurious and premium at its best. It didn't have analog gauges. The instrument cluster was a TFT display and the infotainment unit was a touch-screen placed on top of the center console. Aluminum trim and leather were the main interior elements for the Corsair.

For the technical side, there were three options: two with gasoline and one hybrid with gasoline and electric motor. The first two were mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission while the latter featured a CVT.
