The EX37 was a nice combination having the styling cues of an SUV blended into the size and shape of a sedan.

Looking more like a bigger version of the G37 sedan, the EX37 was rather a crossover SUV that still kept the driving dynamics of the sedan.

For 2013, the EX37 was equipped with a new 3.7-liter V6 engine that cranked out 325 hp and was more powerful than the older version of it.

Inside, the occupants enjoyed soft leather upholstery with wood trim, an overall luxurious and attractive design.

Cutting-edge technology became available for 2013, with a 360 degree camera and adaptive cruise control, with collision warning.

Compared to other competitors on the market, the EX37 did not offer great room, especially for the rear passengers.

The standard equipment included 18-inch alloys, foglights, automatic headlights, cruise control, heated exterior mirrors, leather upholstery, heated front seats that came only with the all-wheel-drive system, a 7-inch display, a backup camera and power front seats.

Available with the top of the range, the EX37 feastures heated front seats for the rear-wheel-drive system, Bluetooth connectivity and a power-adjustable steering wheel.

The Premium package offered front and rear parking sensors, the 360 degree camera, Bluetooth audio streaming, a navigation system, a premium Bose audio system and even an air purfier.

In terms of crossover vehicles, Infiniti chose its own way to made them, without the ruggedness of an SUV, and with the lines of a sports wagon.

Nissan had a long experience in building off-road vehicles and sports cars. Its premium brand, Infiniti, had to build something different, using that expertise in both areas. So, instead of starting with an SUV platform, they started with a sports-sedan. On the other hand, instead of trying to look tough, it succeeded to look sleek.

From some angles, the Infiniti EX looked more like a hatchback than an SUV. The proportions were just like those of a compact vehicle with a raked tailgate. But still, when looked closely, it revealed its real dimensions of a compact SUV. Its headlights design looked more like the one found in the Infiniti G35 sedan. The long hood compared to the rest of the car amplified a sporty image.

Inside, the Infiniti EX featured a luxurious interior garnished with real leather on the contact surfaces and man-made leather for the lower parts of the seats, and the seatbacks as well. The stitches looked premium and the whole interior was carefully crafted for four adults, even though the rear seats didn't seem to leave too much headroom.

Under the hood, there was the same 3.5-liter V6 engine from the G35 Sedan, with the same automatic gearbox. The car was offered either with an all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive system.
