With the 2010 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the German car-maker succeeded to bring on the roads a true race-ready car, ready to demolish competition on any race-track around the world.

It succeeded to overtake its brother, the 2007 Porsche GT2, a car that was considered a warp-speed vehicle able to top the 300 kph (186.5 mph) mark in just 33 seconds. The GT2 RS was even quicker It could get there in 28.9 seconds! Only 500 were built.

From the outside, the GT2 RS resembled the Turbo with the air-intakes on the rear wide fenders. The front bumper was inspired by the same brother but without the fog-lights. On the doors, on the lower side, the GT2 RS logo was clearly marked so everyone would know what it is. Its sleek profile was disturbed only by the big wing in the back, mounted on the engine lid. In the back, the car-maker didn't want to brag more and installed only two exhausts.

Inside, the GT2 RS featured the same dashboard design as its siblings, with some adjustments. The five dials instrument cluster featured the GT2 RS logo in the tachometer. There was no infotainment system on the center stack. Only a plastic hole great to put the racing gloves. The slim race-bucket seats were made out of carbon-fiber to reduce weight and, of course, they couldn't tilt. In the back, the roll-cage was a standard fit. The only thing that was missing was the race-harness.

The GT2 engine was modified to offer 90 hp more, reaching a massive 620 hp. It was available exclusively with a six-speed manual and a light, single-mass, flywheel. The twin-turbo system allowed a smaller lag and, since they were with Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) they could hold a flat torque curve between 2200 rpm and 4500 rpm.
