Special Edition BMWs are not a rare thing on the Japanese market, other versions being offered in the past by the Bavarian manufacturer, like the BMW 840CiA Individual that even became a collectible item.
This year, the "menu's special" in Japan will be the 370-units limited 116i "Fashionista" that will be available only in Crimson Red, White III Arupin and Deep Sea Blue metallic paint and the 5-door body style.
All units will be equipped with 17" alloy wheels covered with 205/50 R17 tires, chrome kidney grille, black finish for the window surrounds and chrome exhaust pipe.
Regarding the interior, the "Fashionista" will have a couple of interesting items like the Dakota Oyster leather for the seats, doors and handbrake, lower center console and door arms, a gloss off-white finish for the trims and rear-view camera with park distance control.
Being a 116i, the engine will be a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit, delivering 136 HP and 220Nm of torque (240 Nm with overboost) connected to a 8-speed automatic gearbox.
