Earlier this year, at the Essen Motor Show 2013, the guys from Manhart Racing revealed an impressive arsenal of cars including one mad-powerful BMW M135i that they called MH1 400.
This crazy version has had its engine taken up from 320 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque up to an impressive 400 HP and 561 Nm (414 lb-ft) of torque, nearly as much as the upcoming M3 and M4 models.
However, that crazy amount of power would mean absolutely nothing without control. Ever tried to drive a RWD car with more than 500 Nm of torque on a wet road? It’s pretty hard to do without proper control.
That’s why they fitted the thing with KW Clubsport Coilovers, new brakes (measuring 380 mm at the front and 356 mm at the back) and super-light OZ wheels measuring 19 inches that go by the name of Ultraleggera, wrapped in Michelin Super Sport tires to cope with the incredible speeds this car is capable of.
If you went over the photo gallery first, you surely must’ve noticed the visual improvements done to the exterior. Cosmetic tweaks include a carbon fibre splitter, mirror caps, a new rear diffuser and a complete matte wrap.
