Sunday was a bad day for a couple of customers of BMW's Ring Taxi, as the car they were into skidded on the wet track and ended up in the guard rails on the side of the track.
From the looks of the car, the impact was pretty hard, most journalists estimating the car was doing around 113 mph (180 km/h) when the accident happened. Fortunately, according to BTG, the BMW safety features saved everyone's lives and no one was severely injured.
Today we uncovered a video of the aftermath of the crash, showing us the destroyed M5 and conditions of the track right in the area where the accident happened. As you can see, there are wet leaves on most of the track, probably being one of the deciding factors in the whole thing.
