As we reported last week, this Thursday the BMW M3 and M4 will be officially unveiled through a free DLC sent out to the Gran Turismo 6 gamers world wide. However, we’re guessing BMW will also release a full press release with info about the car as soon as the DLC arrives.
Ahead of this much awaited launch (that M3 fans have been waiting for quite a while) a short teaser with the new cars appeared on Youtube on a private channel. Even though it wasn’t published on BMW’s official account, it still looks like the real thing.
Unfortunately, it’s only 26 seconds long and shows only a couple of generic shapes of the new models but, based on previous experiences with BMW, expect the production versions to be almost exactly the same as the M4 Coupe Concept that was unveiled earlier this year, at Pebble Beach.
As for the specs, we already told you that a there will be a 3-liter turbocharged engine under the bonnet developing around 430 HP and a lot over 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, all of it sent to the rear axle. Add less than 1,500 kg (3,300 lbs) as a weight figure and you’ll notice that these 2 are shaping up to be pretty extraordinary.
