The increased wealth of the Chinese people seems to be taking a toll on their taste in cars and especially on the color choices when it comes to paint jobs.
First we saw a 5 Series with Jesus painted on the bonnet. We said "ok, the man is just expressing his religion and maybe he's feeling safer knowing that Jesus rides with him". Then we saw a Rainbow Purple 5er and figured out that, viewed from a certain angle, the car could look ok-ish.
Today we're completely puzzled. The owner of a pink Z4 decided that the girlish color wasn't enough for the car and painted the photo of a hot brunette on its bonnet. Don't get us wrong, we love beautiful girls, but drawing them on the bonnet of your car and driving around town with that kind of a picture right in front of you doesn't seem like a good idea.
Another curious thing is that the law-enforcement agents in China are allowing this to happen. From what we know, China is still a communist country. Weren't they supposed to be a bit more conservative and close minded? Perhaps we're just judgmental, but would you do this to your car, communist or not?
