This week BMW held a press conference in Lisbon, Portugal to present the M Performance Parts for their new 4 Series Coupe model, the one that will replace the public favorite, 3 Series Coupe.
However, this brought forward a couple of interesting news too. According to Bimmerpost, the 4 Series will benefit, through the M Performance Parts program, from a Limited Slip Differential.
The BMW community (and not only) was looking forward to this add-on for quite a while. The system on the 4 Series will be a clutch type unit with 30 percent lockup and, based on how good the sales will be, we might even see it on other models too.
The other M Performance Parts include black side skirts, a new front splitter, rear diffuser, black kidney grilles and M Performance stripes. For the front splitter and the rear diffuser, you'll need the M Sport package.
Also, new wheels will be available alongside new mirror caps (out of carbon fibre) and the interior will be upgrade too. On the inside you'll find an alcantara covered dashboard, a new steering wheel, upgraded seats (with more lumbar support) carbon fibre trim and contrast stitching, CF gear lever with alcantara gaiter, stainless steel footrest and/or pedal covers, CF hand brake lever and M Performance floor mats.
Customers will be able to order the whole BMW M Performance Body Kit (that includes all the parts above and/or engine performance upgrades) or each part individually, depending on their preferences. BMW claims that the complete body kit previews the upcoming high-performance model, M4.
