With the launch of the new RAV4 model, Toyota Canada has released a nice app to further advertise the new car and introduce it to people in a more interactive and fun way.
Called the “RAV4 Augmented Reality Playground” the app comes with three different interactive experiences that present you the top features of the car. You can see it on the street, in every atmospheric and road conditions, get a closer look at its design, open its doors and tail gate, even get inside to have a 360 degrees 3D view and look at all the onboard tech.
And all of these presented in a cool way, using your smartphone or tablet’s camera to “project” and interact with the virtual RAV4 as you can see in the video bellow.
Unfortunately, the app can’t be found for Android smartphones yet (although you can clearly see it running on a non iOS smartphone). You can have the iPhone/iPad version from here.
UPDATE: It seems that we were a bit wrong. Thanks to our reader Joel G. we find out that there is an Android version of the RAV4 Playground app available on Google Play.
