Ride Along in a 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 [Video]
The Toyota FJ40 was made between 1960 to 1984 and most of them were built as two-door off-roaders with slightly larger dimensions than a Jeep CJ. From 1960 to 1966 it was offered as a 4-door SUV however.
The engine range was quite comprehensive, being produced with 2 gasoline inline-six (3.8 and 4.2-liter) and 7 diesel choices: three inline-four and four inline-six.
One of the well maintained FJ40 unit belongs to Zach Vanderhoof, who owns it since he was 12 years, after his dad convinced him to have one instead of an old Ford Bronco. The FJ was rotting on a field, so Zach and his father bought it from the careless owner an made it running. It is mostly original, the only tech gizmo inside being an aftermarket radio CD player.
