No matter what type of car consumers are looking for, Consumer Reports value analysis will help shoppers get the most for their money and their annual Best New-Car Value study put out another Toyota vehicle in the top spot for its category.
This time it’s Lexus’ turn, with the ES 300h achieving the No.1 position in the “Luxury Car” segment, while the worst car in the class resulted to be the BMW 750Li.

Results were calculated based on five-year owner costs for each vehicle in the range, along with Consumer Reports’ road-test score and the organization’s own predicted-reliability ratings.

The Lexus ES 300h starts at $39,350 and is powered by a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine aided by an electric motor totaling 200 hp and achieving a combined fuel consumption of 40 mpg. Standard features include an eight-speaker premium sound system with multiple connectivity, SmartAccess with push-button Start/Stop, cruise control, HomeLink, automatic headlights, 10-way driver and front passenger power seats, NuLuxe interior trim and more.
