Japanese Journalist Races the Lexus IS F CCS-R [Video]
Named the IS F CCS-R (Circuit Club Sports Racing), this is the race version of Lexus’ renowned IS compact luxury sedan for those who want to ditch all the fancy gizmos and take it on the track.
While we don’t speak Japanese very well to translate what Manabu is saying in the video bellow, the choppy subtitles will give you some hints of the car’s main features.
What we can tell you, is that the Lexus IS F CCS-R got rid of every interior feature, being replaced by a carbon fiber dash and center console, a HANS driver bucket seat with six-point seatbelt system, full rollcage and all the gear you need to pass racing regulations. Its 416 hp 5-liter V8 engine is pretty much standard, apart from a new racing exhaust that was fitted. Even more lightweight and aerodynamic parts were mounted on the IS F CCS-R and you can see them in the video bellow.
