Unlike this year, Toyota Motorsport South Africa will race in the 2014 Dakar Rally with two specially-built Hilux pickups next year.
Dakar champions Giniel de Villiers and Dirk von Zitzwitz will return for the 2014 season accompanied by another team with the same vehicle, formed by Toyota racers Leeroy Poulter and Rob Howie.
The vehicles will use the same 5-liter naturally aspirated V8 from the last race, but both of them got rebuilt from scratch using a stiffer chassis and different performance parts.
Both vehicles have already been tested in the Namibian desert, but no one saw how they were built so far. Until now, after Toyota released some short videos with the making-of, showing some if the tweaks they did for next year.
