It has been a while since we saw the Brazilian Toyota Etios Cross being spied, but now it’s here, completely unveiled and ready to go on sale.
The Etios Cross is just a hatchback Etios transformed into a crossover by the addition of a lifted suspension and plastic moulds placed on the wheel arches, side sills and the front bumper, which now looks more menacing due to its trapezoidal shape.
Another addition are the roof bars that can hold 50 kg of luggage, while inside, the Etios Cross only comes with new seat fabrics and trim accents.
The underpinnings remain the same as with the standard Etios, retaining the same 96 hp 1.5-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox sending power to the front wheels.
The Toyota Etios Cross will go on sale starting with November 18th, wearing a price tag of at least BR45,690, roughly translating in about $20,100.
