No one buys a Toyota Prius v for its styling, street cred or performance. The v makes sense for a medium-sized family that need space, comfort, low fuel consumption and the willingness to use it for more than two years, otherwise, the hybrid powertrain long-term profit won’t make sense.
The Toyota Prius v is powered by the same powertrain as the standard liftback Prius - the 1.8-liter Atkinson four-pot aided by two electric motors located in the gearbox, making a total of 134 hp.

Base priced at CA$27,425, the Prius v comes with key features like 6.1-inch touchscreen display, rear view camera, dual-zone climate control, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, push-button start, cruise control, power heated mirrors, LED brake lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The eco-family-carrier has been recently reviewed by Autos.ca, which were thrilled by its smooth ride and transition between electric to combustion power.
