Wooohoooo! Give me a B, give me an M, give me a W. Give me a BMW baby! What a pleasant surprise! Finally I have the chance to testrive the BEAST. Yeah, release the beast! I dreamed about this moment every since September 10, 2007 when BMW presented the X6 ActiveHybrid at the Frankfurt Auto Show. When I first saw it, I told myself: Lou Cheeka, this is it! You must own this!
It’s excellent, it’s everything you’d ever need, it’s a Bimmer! Look at this beauty. It’s such an emotional moment, now that I’m here please pinch me to be sure I’m not dreaming. Auch! Not that hard!
Let me knock it a little bit. Oh God, no plastic on the dashboard! It’s freaking unbelieavable. Leather and expensive materials all around. Plastics? Only a few inches around the cup holders, and that’s all.
The engine is the perfect combination of huge power and low fuel consumption. Seriously, do you really think that 12 or 13 l/100km outside the city with 485 horsepower hidden underneath the hood is too much? Come on, it’s the perfect mix of power and efficiency. And this is the BMW spirit after all.
Look at it, just look. Those angel eyes, that kidney grille. It’s almost perfect. I said almost because I’m not sure that coupe body is actually a good choice. But after all, it manages to set the car apart and if it helps become a chit-chat topic inside my neighborhood, I’m fine with it.
And the best thing is that you can do it whatever you want. Good for city driving, great for the highway, perfect for longer trips and even useful if Santa wants to deliver its presents using the Bimmer.
But it’s sad that it’s so expensive, I think there are close to zero chances to buy one in this life... All my hopes lie in the summer vacantion, I’m going to work for a multi-national organization in one of those tropical countries, maybe harvesting oranges and grapefruits could help me make my dream come true...
