Silverstone Reveal New Layout for MotoGP

Silverstone have unveiled the new layout for the 2010 British Grand Prix in the MotoGP series. The British officials have proceeded in making several changes to the track that is mostly known in the world for its long-time connections with the world of Formula 1. After losing the right to host an F1 round after the 2009 season, Silverstone have secured a place in the MotoGP calendar starting 2010. As part of their £5 million revamp package, the circuit officials have not only proceeded to changing the layout, but also build new grandstands around the track. The changes are as followed: As compared to the F1 layout, the MotoGP version will feature a new line connecting the Abbey chicane to the National circuit in the vicinity of Becketts.
