Lorenzo Tops Mugello Practice

Jorge Lorenzo was the fastest rider on track in the first practice session of the Italian Grand Prix, beating team-mate Valentino Rossi and Ducati's Casey Stoner. The Doctor was the first rider to dominate the practice session as he set an early 1m50.573s. Casey Stoner couldn't wait too long and joined the testing crew with a 0.001 seconds time behind the Italian. However, in the next laps he managed to beat Rossi by 0.048. Still, the star of the show was Jorge Lorenzo who set a first time of 1m50.442s at halfway of the testing session, despite Valentino Rossi's improved time of 1m50.065s. Lorenzo continued to run high on the Mugello circuit and beat his team-mate by 0.195s.
