2007 Disappointing second season for Marco inside IndyCar Series. Fails to win a single race in 2007, highlighting two podiums at Iowa Speedway and Michigan International Speedway (both 2nd places) en route to 11th in the Overall Standings. Ranks outside the Top 10 drivers in most of the championship events (on 11 occasions, to be precise).
2008 Advances to 7th place in the driver point standings, right after AGR teammate Danica Patrick. Becomes the youngest driver ever to score a pole in the IndyCar Series - at Milwaukee - and highlights a runner-up place in the season opener, at Homestead.
