That would explain the high number of drivers that compete for the team in its first year of existence, in the International Formula 3000 championship. Among those drivers we find: Will Langhorne, Alessandro Piccolo, Ferdinando Monfardini and Rob Nguyen.
Enrico Toccacelo joins the team and, alongside Esteban Guerrieri, helps BCN Competicion reach the No. 2 spot in overall classification. The team scores a total of 84 points in the season ans trails Arden for the championship title.
BCN Competicion is there to compete in GP2 Series' début season. Still, Ernesto Viso and Hiroki Yoshimoto fail to pick up on team's previous performances and conclude a disappointing 2005 season. BCN ranks 9th in Teams' standings at the end of the season, scoring only 35 points in the championship.
Hiroki Yoshimoto and Luca Filippi continue the poor performances from the previous season and rank outside the Top 10 in Drivers' Standings. The Japanese finishes the season in 14th place, while Filippi comes 18th. BCN ranks 9th in Teams' standings for a second straight season.
Worst season in GP2 Series for BCN Competicion, with only Ho-Ping Tung managing to get some points on the scoreboard, in Belgium. The team tries out several other drivers in the series - Sakon Yamamoto, Henri Karjalainen and Niemela Markus - but none score any points for the Spanish outfit.
BCN Competicion joins the other GP2 Main Series teams to debut in the inaugural Asia Series season, finishing both championships in the penultimate position overall (teams' classification).
