Welcome the Ziesel, Mattro Mobility Revolutions' awesome prototype, an electric personal mobility snow track vehicle which is most likely one of the coolest things we've seen recently.
There are a lot of places where snow and winter fun last until deep into the summer, and one can find many such places in the Alps, so it's small wonder that this contraption comes from this mountain area.

The Ziesel is as simple as it gets, despite the engineering behind it was quite expensive. From a minimalist point of view, we're getting a 4-point belt and a bucket seat, both fixed on a small chassis containing the battery and the electric motor driving the two snow tracks.

It looks like this amazing one-person transport device can also drift, and this makes it a good starting point for some awesome stunts, especially since it already comes with a roll bar. The Ziesel seems even nicer with a weight of 210 kg (463 lbs), batteries included, 6kWh Li-Ion storage, a 4.8 kW (6.4 HP) continuous power with a 15.4 kW (20.6 HP) peak. The speed is limited to 35 km/h (21.7 mph).

Mattro is also conducting a 1.3 mil euro project, involving two universities and six companies in four countries, developing other snow mobility solutions, so we might expect more (proper) cool stuff from them.

As for the Ziesel, it looks like riding it is unbelievable fun, breaking all the limits, just as the slogan reads (Grenzlos is German for "without borders or limits". Via TechVehi.
