Zero S Awarded e-Bike of the Year

Electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles have announced that their Zero S electric motorcycle received the prestigious “e-Bike of the Year” award at Europe’s Clean Week 2020.Being evaluated among electric motorcycles from around the world, the Zero S finally became the first electric motorcycle to win the newly created category.

This year, all Zero Motorcycles models come with several technical improvements as well as a new look, including a complete overhaul of the Zero S and the Zero DS. Every model is now ‘quick-charge’ capable using an optional upgrade that allows the motorcycles to charge nearly twice as fast.

In addition,riders can now take advantage of J1772 public charging stations by using an optional accessory, for the first time on an electric motorcycle. The entire lineup is equipped with upgraded suspension systems, a revised Z-Force powertrain, more precise charge indicators, new higher performance brakes and industry-standard component features.

Dubbed "the ecological heart of European mobility," Clean Week 2020 is an annual gathering that demonstrates advancements in electric and hybrid vehicle technology.

The second annual Clean Week 2020 was held at Circuit Zolder, where a variety of electric vehicles could be test driven and evaluated by journalists and consumers. At last year's event, the awards focused on automobiles. Recognizing growing public interest in two-wheeled electric vehicles, organizers added electric motorcycle categories to this year’s 2011 event.
