Remember when Caterham unveiled the AeroSeven Concept last September? Well, that car is slated to go into production in the autumn of 2014, packing 240 ponies and a 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) run of under 4 seconds. But the people over at Zenos Cars got ahead of Caterham and this is their party piece: the E10 S, a souped up version of the less powerful E10.
Guess what: Zenos Cars is a specialty marque founded by former Caterham big shot Ansar Ali, so it's no wonder how similar the AeroSeven and E10 are. Compared to the entry-level E10, the evolution model of the lightweight roadster sports the same Ford-sourced 2-liter four-pot, but this time it's turbocharged, boasting with an extra 50 horses and 190 Nm for a grand total of 250 horsepower and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).

That sort of firepower offers the rear-wheel drive Zenos E10 S a 4-second 0 to 60 mph time and a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h). Part of this ballistic package is down to the feathery carbon aluminum monocoque and the ultra lightweight 700 kilograms (1,543 pounds) it weighs overall. In standard, the track-bred machine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, but the spirited driver can opt for a six-speed transmission included in the track package, with a gear knob lifted from the Focus or Mondeo.

Furthermore, a limited slip diff is also available on the track variant, which also adds sportier seats, a quick-release steering wheel like those of Formula 1 cars, lighter rims, stickier rubber, Bilstein adjustable dampers, racing harnesses and a heated driver's seat. Pricing? £29,995 ($49,830) for the most basic E10 S, while the track variant will set you back at least £32,995 ($54,815 at current exchange rates).

If that's not quite enough for you, an E11 Roadster and an E12 Coupe will be added to the lineup by 2018.
