Thought the 240 horsepower Alfa 4C was impressive? How about a Fiat 500 Abarth with a smaller engine but the same output.
This is the Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale Concept, a creation of German tuning company Zender. Now, Zender used to be a big name in the tuning world, with impressive projects targeting mainly VW and Alfa Romeo cars. They went out of business in 2008, but this Abarth markets their explosive return onto the scene.
As a tuning project, we think you'll agree that a 240 horsepower little Fiat takes the cake. Beside the huge hp output, the 1.4-liter motor now puts out 335 Nm of torque as well, something you'd see in a 2-liter turbo.
The Germans say that’s good for a top speed of 144 mph and 0-62 mph sprint time of 6.5 seconds.
They've also fitted a complex carbon fiber body kit and reworked the interior. The paintjob is a nice satin white, as you can see from this only video we've been able to find of the car so far. In case you're not impressed yet, scroll through the gallery until you find the hood opening mechanism. That's worth at least a whole Fiat 500 right there!
