Zagato Perana Z-One Coming to the U.S.
text size: A- A+
We use the term “romantic” as the car has been styled in Italy by Zagato, with the result making love to the naked eye. Actually, we are talking about a cosmopolitan creature. The vehicle uses an American Corvette-sourced engine and will be built by Hi-Tech in South Africa.
The U.S. automotive enthusiasts can now throw their hands in the air (but not while behind the wheel), as the Z-One is coming to America.
The U.S. version of the vehicle will be imported by Superformance and will make its public debut in August at the Concorso Italiano, an event which will be held at Laguna Seca Gold Ranch in Monterey California.
You can have yours with a 436 hp LS3 engine or with a 505 hp LS7 powerplant. Both engines are mated to a six speed manual transmission and send power to the rear wheels using a ZF limited slip differential. The optional goodies list, which will keep things simple, will include a beefy brake package as well as special color for both the exterior and the interior.
The 1195 kg vehicle is expected to offer an astonishing level of performance, even with the less powerful engine. This pushes the vehicle past the 62 mph mark in under four seconds.
Only one question left to answer. You guessed it... the pricing. The Perana Z-One will come to the U.S. with a price bellow $100,000.
