Yamaha is happy to announce the introduction of a faster and more fuel efficient X-MAX 300 scooter to its range, which also comes with more technology and increased storage space.
According to the bike maker, the X-MAX 300 is more fuel efficient than the smaller X-MAX 250, while being faster, obviously. The new single-cylinder engine is Euro 4 emission regulation compliant and has been developed to outperform the old one in any tests.

The frame of the new scooter is said to be all-new and also comes with a big-bike style front fork, twin rear shocks as well as 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch one at the back.

Disk brakes measure 267 mm front and 240 mm at the back while ABS is offered standard to be in line with the latest European regulation. Traction control is also a standard feature to prevent slides in wet conditions.

The dashboard is new (and somewhat resembles one from BMW Motorrad), featuring two round analog dials for the speedometer and rev counter while a central display offers more info about the vehicle.

You won’t have to take out the key out of your pocket as the new X-MAX 300 comes with keyless ignition, a feature borrowed from the big TMAX 530. The resculpted seat also offers enough space for two helmets and a few other things.

Speaking of design, the styling is inspired by the aforementioned TMAX model, coming with sharp lines intertwined with smooth shapes and there’s even the twin-eye LED headlight configuration. An extra LED light in the center is used for high beam and the wraparound taillight uses the same technology.

The X-MAX 300 will be available in white, gray or copper and it will make its first public appearance at the 2016 EICMA show in Milan on November 8. Sales will start in March 2017 and, as expected, prices aren’t available at the moment.
