We’ve seen drones that follow your every step before, but what makes this one special are the way you handle it and its performance, of course. For the first, imagine a smart device that starts shooting once you literally throw it away. Its 20-minute range on one charge and the ability to shoot stunning HD pictures and videos complete the performance factor.
If taking self-portraits became what they call today "selfie," then filming yourself will probably be named "filmie." Or maybe there’s a reality television star like Kim Kardashian that will invent an even "better" name for it. They might as well call it "tapie," considering taping something used also to be part of the filmmaking slang of some sort.

Why do we need a name for it? Because it’s no longer a rare thing. Having a top-notch, auto-follow drone that documents your extreme sports activities is becoming mainstream, people! You’d better watch out, for one day a hot model will push you away from the sidewalk because you’re walking on her perfect path, you’re ruining her drone's view.

Good. Now back to Lily here.

Lily is not yet available for purchase, but you can find it for pre-order on their website. Not that we care too much about the marketing factor, but we were interested whether or not it’s cheaper than similar models.

Take the AirDog. This quadcopter is capable of speeds of up to 40 mph, has a 10 to 15 minutes range, and remains operable in winds of up to 23knots. The price? While the Kickstarter pledge was a couple of hundreds cheaper, the retail price starts at $1,495, a bit spicy if you ask us.

Getting back to our throw-and-shoot particular drone in question, not only is it half cheaper on pre-order, but it comes with better features too. Lily is waterproof, shoots HD pictures and videos, has a 20-minute range and is capable of a top speed of 25 mph.

We haven’t yet decided which one we’ll go for our test drives soon, but we figured this one clearly goes to our top 10 list of toys.
